Grazing

rabbit-wallpaperThe moon rises on lawned conversation,
And in the folds of conservatory’s reflection
Stilled breath, frozen hands and bounding heart
Watch the rabbit’s soft starlit burrowings.

Confident in the dark between tilled beds,
Foraging softly under unerring gaze
Skipping between boughs of summer fruits,
Weighed with plump swollen raspberries.

Until withdrawal with unashamed bounce,
Leaving rich grooves as dipping memories
On the soft, smoothly manicured sward,
And echoes in the finally taken exhalation.
